Shadia Alam, MD
Dr. Shadia Alam is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology as well as Hematopathology. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toledo and her medical degree at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. Alam completed her residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology at The Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, where she was chief resident. She then completed a fellowship in Hematopathology, also at The Ohio State University.
Prior to Summit Pathology, Dr. Alam was a staff pathologist at South Bend Medical Foundation in South Bend, Indiana. Dr. Alam is a member of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society for Clinical Pathology. She has also published numerous articles including a study on variability in follicular lymphoma grading, and presented on a variety of topics in cancer services settings.
